Maintenance and Emergency Preparedness – Winter Months

Carey Dove, CEO M&M Welding and FabricatorsA message from Carey Dove.

October 15th begins the mid Atlantic Winter heating season for area mechanical contractors, and this year The Farmer’s Almanac is predicting higher snowfall levels and lower temperatures than normal this winter season.

As the President of a mechanical contracting company, I believe in maintenance and emergency preparedness especially during the winter months, and that is why our staff at M & M Welding and Fabricators is introducing the Winter Eagle Maintenance plan to help our customers achieve efficient operation of their system.

Never again will you be stuck at three in the morning listening to screaming tenants complaining about a lack of warm air or hot water or interrupting a Sunday dinner with your family to fix a customer’s frozen pipe. Call Jesse right now for a customized maintenance plan at 301-948-9330.

Here are a few boiler maintenance tips for the winter heating season from our expert Boiler Man Bob to help you prepare for the winter ahead:

  • Make sure your boiler has been cleaned thoroughly from the previous year and there is no evidence of any water leaks or deficiencies in your refractory or boiler shell;
  • Check all safeties, controls and piping connections to make sure they are in good working order and that you don’t have leaks; and
  • Check the operating combustion efficiency to insure maximum savings off of your fuel bill for the season.

And most of all remember, M & M Welding and Fabricators is a local company available for ANY heating or mechanical emergency 24/7, so if you ever need a competent, experienced company to take care of your boiler maintenance always keep M&M Welding and Fabricators in mind. We have been in the boiler industry business over four decades. Call 301-948-9330 or send us a message by clicking here.

2012 marks the 40th Anniversary of M & M Welding and Fabricators – serving heating and cooling needs for our clients in government, business and community for four decades.
